01Nature of AltLoad
These Terms apply to the AltLoad app, its source code at github.com/mirazbakis/AltLoad, the builds published there, and this website (together, the "Service"), provided by mirazbakis ("we", "us"). By downloading, building, installing or using AltLoad you agree to them. If you don't, don't use the Service.
AltLoad is a free iOS app that does on the device what a computer would otherwise do. It pairs your iPhone or iPad with itself, reaches it through LocalDevVPN, signs in to Apple's developer services with your Apple ID, and signs and installs AltStore, AltStore Beta, SideStore or SideStore inside LiveContainer, including their nightly builds. It can also run an AltServer for AltStore, and offers JIT, location simulation and entitlements.
We don't host, sell or distribute those apps. AltLoad downloads them from their own sources and GitHub releases, or from a file you pick. Builds of AltLoad are published unsigned; you sign and install them yourself.
Ownership
AltLoad is Copyright (c) 2026 mirazbakis and is open source under the MIT-based AltLoad License. You may read, modify and build it for your own non-commercial use, fork it on GitHub to contribute, and reuse portions of its code in non-commercial projects if you visibly credit "Based on AltLoad by mirazbakis" with a link. AltLoad and its builds may only be distributed through the official repository and this website. Mirroring, re-uploading, re-signing or repackaging them anywhere else is not allowed. Parts from other projects keep their own licenses, listed in THIRD_PARTY_NOTICES.md.
No affiliation
AltLoad is independent and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by Apple Inc., AltStore, Riley Testut, SideStore or LiveContainer. Apple, iPhone, iPad, iOS and Xcode are trademarks of Apple Inc. Other names belong to their owners and are used only to describe compatibility.
02Assumption of risk
Sideloading and developer features have consequences you accept by using the Service, including:
- apps stopping working when certificates expire or are revoked;
- certificates made elsewhere being revoked when your Apple ID is at its limit;
- Apple limiting or suspending an Apple ID, or rejecting sign-ins;
- nightly builds of SideStore and LiveContainer being unstable or broken;
- apps reacting to a simulated location or a debugger;
- lost app data, or things not working on some iOS versions.
Back up anything important. We recommend a secondary Apple ID for sideloading.
03Your responsibilities
Your Apple ID
AltLoad acts on your behalf with your Apple ID. You're responsible for keeping it secure, for what is done with it, and for following Apple's terms that apply to you, including Apple's limits on free accounts (7-day apps, a few active apps, some capabilities only for paid members). Apple can change its services or accounts at any time; that is outside our control.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- install or share apps you don't have the right to use, including pirated or cracked apps;
- pair with or install software on a device or account you aren't authorised to use;
- spread malware or break security measures where the law doesn't allow it;
- sell AltLoad or use it commercially, distribute it or any build of it anywhere other than the official repository and website, or present a modified version as the official app;
- break any law or regulation.
Developer features
Location simulation changes the location every app sees. Don't use it to deceive people, commit fraud, cheat where it's forbidden, or get around legal or safety rules, and stop it before relying on your real location. JIT briefly attaches a debugger; only use it with apps you may run that way. Entitlements are enabled on your own App IDs and Apple decides which your account may use. For JIT and location, AltLoad mounts Apple's Developer Disk Image from a third-party mirror, as Xcode would.
You must be able to form a binding agreement where you live and meet Apple's requirements for the Apple ID you use.
04No warranty
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and that it will be uninterrupted, secure or error-free. We don't promise that any third-party source, anisette server or repository will be available. Where the law doesn't allow some exclusions, they apply as far as it does.
05Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, device functionality, apps, certificates or access to an Apple ID, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability is limited to zero, or the lowest amount the law allows. Nothing here limits liability that can't legally be limited.
06Indemnification
As far as the law allows, you agree to cover us for claims, losses and costs that come from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms or of the law.
07Privacy
We don't collect your data. AltLoad has no analytics or tracking and sends nothing to us.
- Your Apple ID password is sent only to Apple. With Remember password on, it's kept in the device's Keychain, readable only while unlocked and never synced.
- Anisette servers provide the device-identity data Apple requires to sign in. They never see your password. By default AltLoad picks a working public server; you can choose one in Settings.
- Pairing files, certificates, anisette data, simulated locations and settings stay on your device.
AltLoad also relies on services we don't run, each with its own terms: Apple, the anisette servers, AltStore's, SideStore's and LiveContainer's sources and GitHub releases, LocalDevVPN, GitHub (which hosts this site and the builds) and Apple Maps. We aren't responsible for them or their availability.
08Changes and termination
We may update these Terms. We'll change the effective date above and mention significant changes in the release notes; using the Service after that means you accept them. We may change or stop any part of the Service at any time. You can stop by deleting AltLoad; apps it installed keep working until their signature expires. If you break these Terms, your permission to use the Service ends.
09Severability
If any part of these Terms can't be enforced, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term doesn't waive it. These Terms and the AltLoad License are the whole agreement about the Service; where they conflict about rights to the code, the license applies. Mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live still apply.
